PayPerPlay Audio Ads = Annoying

Posted on: January 26, 2008 by: Jeff

Payperplay is a new advertising company that is PPP. Meaning you get paid per play of a 5 second audio clip. From what I have read they pay less than 1 cent per play/per unique visitor. If you have not seen their ads on Adsense or Kontera or many other most likely then you are not online much because they are everywhere.

I found it interesting that they commented on a Tech Crunch saying that they were getting a grip of sign ups cause of the free advertising.

This is how I see it. Yes they will get many new partners but the day the publisher puts the code on their site they will take it off cause who wants to hear an ad over their music. Plus if their speakers are turned up it will scrare the crap out of site visitors. I think that it is a good concept but it just won’t last.

  1. steve says:

my thoughts exactly. It scared me the first time i heard it, i had my speakers up loud.

  2. I agree that they could be annoying but I think the money lies in getting some fools to sign up so you can get a chunk of their earnings.
